Deathnote Roleplay Ch1

L was sitting on his feet, hunched over in his usual way, thumbnail in mouth staring at 52 different TV screens at once.
"So, Light is coming up now is he?" Light mumbled to himself.
Light entered the headquarters, where L sat in his usual place at the TVs. The room was completely dark, except for the dull gray glow emitting from the TV screens onto L's pale skin.
"Ryuuzaki, it's getting late, wouldn't it be best to get some rest?" he asked with a seemingly innocent smile, flickering the lights on as he walked in.
L turned his swivel chair to face Light.
"Ahhh, my eyes! Kira what are you doing!?!" L yelled at Light as he covered his face with his arms. L carefully let his arms fall back were they were, crossed over his knees.
He replied, "And no, Kira, I'm not tired. All I need is my sugar cubes, and coffee, with my slice of cake." L turned in his swivel chair to look back at the TV screens.
"Would you stop calling me that?" Light sighed, half annoyed. "How many times must I tell you I'm not Kira!"
Light took a seat on the chair next to L and looked at the TV screens.
"What information do you hope to obtain from these videos?" Light mumbled to himself.
He refrained from chuckling aloud. Although he knew he had to be careful, he could feel L's eyes on him the entire time.
"Aren't you concerned that you are going to get sick from eating all those sweets?" He asked L. "You may even get a cavity if you keep this up!"
L rolled his eyes. L was never wrong.
"Mmmm, what info do I get from these videos? I get to see what Kira is up to, and Kira's girlfriend, Kira 2, is up to as well. It's quite enjoying watching her, though," L said, with his fan girl scream smile on his face.
"Oh, and also, I will never get a cavity, and I never been sick in my life. And how 'bout you? I bet you had a lot of cavities... Kira," L replied, with a huge grin.
Light sighed, supposing L would never give up on calling him Kira. His persistence annoyed Light slightly, but he couldn't show it in his face. L was smart and Light could not afford tipping off any subtle hint. Everything he did and said had to be very careful.
"Misa already thinks you're a pervert, and adding comments like that really isn't helping your situation," Light mentioned.
L looked at him briefly, cocking his head to the side.
"Anyways, I have been sick before, I'm only human, but I've never had a cavity."
Light liked saying things like 'I'm only human' because he knew he although he was, he had the power of a god, and would soon be no less than a god and soon as he could get rid of the cake-loving, sloppy, pest that sat next to him.
"Bullshit. I bet you had a cavity before. All little kids have. Open your mouth I want to see!" L said ignoring Light's Misa comment.
He jumped out of his chair, and staggered towards Light.
"Did I just see Kira-chan blush?" he said teasingly, trying to catch him off guard.
L gave him his best fan girl scream smile, and cupped his hands on each side of Light's face. His face was now pretty close to Light's.
"Now, do I get to see those teeth of yours? Ha ha ha ha ha!"
"What are you doing, Ryuuzaki?" Light squinted, instinctively trying to push L off him.
L wouldn't budge. He opened his eyes again to see the man looking down on him. Dark, heavy bags hung under L's eyes, but his face was still as friendly as ever. He wore a kid-ish smile and bright eyes. L's breath on Light's face smelled of sweets.
"I told you I didn't have any cavities!" L said, completely dismissing thinking of L's breath. Why did he even notice that? He shivered.
"I said I want to see. So open up. I don't believe you. Unless you are hiding something from me Kira-san?" L replied, teasing him.
Light's caramel eyes told him that he was enjoying this. Light's cheeks shone bright red.
"Did you just sigh on me? Your breath stinks!" L said laughingly, but it really did stink.
Light pulled away, embarrassed, and put his hand up to his mouth to cover his breath.
"Why would I open my mouth after you just told me that my breath stinks?" Light pouted.
Did it really stink? He quickly exhaled on his hand and inhaled again to check. His stomach twisted in embarrassment.
"Because I don't lie, and I only wanted to tell you the truth." L replied laughingly. "Whatever, though, I bet you have cavities, and are too embarrassed to show them," he said as he backed down in my swivel chair and focused on the 52 TVs'.
He could feel Lights eyes watching him.
"Oh next time you see me, brush your teeth," L plopped a spoonful of cake into my mouth, and heard Light leave through the door.
"Stupid Ryuuzaki…" Light mumbled under his breath as he left the room.
"Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!" Light heard Misa sing as she ran up and threw her arms around him.
Light sighed.
"Light, whatcha doin'?" she asked, completely oblivious to his frustration.
"Misa, does my breath smell?" Light asked, sidetracked.
"Hmm… Let me check."
Misa stood up on her tiptoes and sniffed as Light exhaled.
"Nope!" she sang. "As to be expected from my boyfriend!"
She kissed him on the cheek. Light grew furious that L had been teasing him. Who did he think he was? Light clenched his fists.
"Are you okay, Light?" Misa asked innocently.
Light smiled, knowing how to get L back.
"No," he sighed. "Ryuuzaki's been spying on us- especially you."
"What?!" she threw her arms in the air, over-dramatically.
"Yes, he's right through that door, probably watching us now."
Misa, in anger, ran, pushing through the door.
"Ryuuzaki, you PERVERT!" Light could hear her exclaim as she entered the headquarters.
Light just continued walking in the opposite direction. Before he left, he flashed a smile at the security camera in the corner, for L to see on one of his many TV screens. L would have Misa to deal with now.
'Oh great, here comes Misa-Misa,' L thought.
L, still looking at the TV screens, noticed one in the corner, TV number 12, he saw Light flash a smile.
"I know what you are doing, Kira, I know what your plan is," L mumbled under his breath.
"Ryuuzaki!!!! Uhhh!!! I can't even bare to look at your face you pervert!" Misa yelled.
"Me? A pervert? Why do you call me such a thing? The only thing I watch here is my 52 TV screens..." L replied, and thought 'and a quarter of them are you.'
"Any ways, why do you like Light so much, Misa? He doesn't love you, he's using you. Did you know that Light is dating three other girls besides you?" L replied, knowing that this would tick Misa off, and she would go whine and complain to Light.
Misa looked dumbfounded and surprised.
Misa ran at the door and sobbed "Light you said you would never cheat on me!"
Light was walking to his room only to hear the loud clacking of heels hitting the floor as Misa chased after him.
"Misa," he called, reaching his hand out for her.
She slapped it away, tears rolling down her cheeks and her bottom lip trembling. Angry, sad, and confused, she ran off, without giving Light a chance to try to defend himself.
Light sighed, shaking his head. This had to be L's doing. Light couldn't cheat on Misa, he had to keep her happy. As much as he knew himself that he wasn't attracted to her, he had to stay with her under the circumstances. But either way, having Misa as his girlfriend didn't completely stop him from talking to other girls. Light knew he had looks, so why not use them to charm others? It wasn't cheating.
Light, once again, began walking towards headquarters to confront L on his little prank. He pushed through the doors with a scowl on his face, and L swiveled around in his chair to face him.
